A man has died in a Hackney high street after suffering a head injury.

Paramedics administered CPR to the man in Kingsland High Street, Dalston, early this morning (April 12) but the man was pronounced dead at the scene

The man is believed to have been in his late 30s and police are working to confirm his identity and inform the next of kin.

The Met Police says the death is being treated as “unexpected, pending further enquiries” and that no arrests have been made.

Police have cordoned off part of the street and road closures are in place.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at 5.03am to Kingsland High Street after a man was found unresponsive in the street with an injury to his head.
