Video: Machete-wielding gang scarper after botched raid of cannabis factory

Video footage shows three men running away after trying to break into a property which was later uncovered by police as a cannabis farm.

A group of men wielding machetes tried to break into a cannabis factory in Hayes during a late-night raid.

Just before 5am on Saturday, three men, two brandishing machetes, attempted to break into a property in East Walk.

Police say an “informant” disturbed the group before they ran off.

Soon after, several vehicles arrived and two men approached the property in Hillingdon, west London.

The men then scarpered when police attended the scene.

Cops arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary following a foot chase.

Officers searched the property and discovered a cannabis factory.

The man was further arrested for being concerned in the supply of cannabis. He was bailed to a date in mid-September.

Video on social media appears to show three men, dressed in caps and masks and wielding machetes, trying to break into a property.

When the group realise they are being filmed from a house across the road, they scarper and run away from the scene.
