Havering: Baby found dead at London home - two people arrested
Police have launched an investigation after a baby was found dead at a house in east London.
Officers were called at around 7.40pm on Tuesday (August 22) to an address in Mimosa Close, Harold Hill.

Hide AdConcerns about the welfare of a baby had been reported to them, a Met Police spokesperson said.
Upon their arrival, officers found the body of a newborn baby girl at the scene.
A man and a woman have been arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident; both remain in custody.
Det Sup Lewis Basford, from the Met’s Public Protection team covering Havering, said: “This is a tragic incident and we understand it will be hugely upsetting for local people.

Hide Ad“Our officers are still at the scene and we thank residents for their patience while we carry out our critical enquiries.
“At this time, the baby’s death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will take place at the earliest opportunity to help us determine what may have happened and to confirm how long the baby’s body had been there.
“A man and a woman arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident remain in custody.”
