Hackney: Man charged with murder of Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche

A man has been charged with murder after a woman found in a car in a Hackney alleyway died.
Police were called to Whiston Road, between Hoxton and Haggerston, at 6.42am on Saturday April 6, to concerns for a woman's welfare.

Hide AdThe Met says a woman was found unresponsive in a car in an alleyway. Officers forced entry and administered CPR before London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance paramedics arrived.
Although formal identification awaits, police believe the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche.
The family have been informed and a post-mortem examination will commence on the afternoon of Monday April 8.
Gogoa Tape, 27, of Whiston Road, Hackney, was charged on Sunday with murder.

Hide AdTape will appear in custody on Monday at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
Detective Inspector Aytac Necati, of Specialist Crime, said on the weekend: “As my colleagues and I begin our work today, we are all mindful of the human tragedy here. The victim’s family will be provided with every possible support and I can assure them that the Met’s investigation will be conducted with rigour and professionalism.
“While enquiries are in their early stages, I believe the deceased and the man arrested were known to each other.
