Feryal Clark: Enfield MP targeted with 'racially aggravated hate crime' graffiti

The incident happened at the constituency office of Feryal Clark, MP for Enfield North, in Hertford Road.

Police are appealing for help to identify a man after a London MP's office was targeted with "racially aggravated" graffiti.

Detectives say they are investigating a hate crime after the incident at the constituency office of Feryal Clark, MP for Enfield North, in Hertford Road.

Ms Clark was born in Turkey to Kurdish parents. She became an MP in 2019, having been a Hackney councillor and deputy mayor.

The incident happened at around 11.05pm Thursday November 21. The Met says officers were contacted the following morning and attended the scene.

CCTV footage was secured and following enquiries, the force has released an image of a man they wish to speak to.

PC Louis Blackburne-Maze, who is leading the investigation said: “This was a racially aggravated crime. There is no place for hate in London and it’s important that everyone feels safe on our streets."

She added: “We are very keen to speak to this man so if you know who he is or have any other information that could help, we encourage you to get in touch with police.”
