Enfield: Two foals killed after car crashes into horsebox on M25

The driver of the car left the scene, and officers are now asking anyone with footage or who saw the collision to get in touch.

Detectives are appealing for information after a car collided with a horsebox on the M25, resulting in the deaths of two young foals.

The car, believed to be a dark coloured VW Touran, crashed into the horsebox as it was being towed by a van between junctions 24 (Potters Bar) and 25 (Enfield).

A Met Police spokesperson said the force was called just before 9am yesterday morning (October 7) to reports of the incident.

The horsebox was carrying two five-month-old foals. One of them died in the crash, while another had to be put down due to its injuries.

The driver of the car left the scene, and officers are now asking anyone with footage or who saw the collision to get in touch.

There have been no arrests, and enquiries continue.
