A teenager has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old in Chingford.

Chima Osuji died on the evening of Easter Monday (April 10), despite the efforts of paramedics and members of the public to save him.

Police had been called to Longshaw Road in Chingford at about 9.20pm to reports of a stabbing.

A 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and is due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates' Court today (April 14).

Two other boys aged in their teens have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 15-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early July. A 16-year-old remains in custody.
