Catford stabbing: Investigation under way after man in his 20s found wounded in south London

Officers were called to Milford Towers in Thomas Lane, Catford, where they found the man with a stab wound.

Police have launched an investigation after a man in his 20s was found stabbed in south London last night.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said the force was called at 7.54pm on July 10 to reports of a stabbing in Milford Towers in Thomas Lane, Catford.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, where they found the wounded man. He was taken to hospital, where his injury was assessed as not life-threatening.

The police spokesperson confirmed an investigation is under way, with enquiries ongoing. There have been no arrests.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said they sent “two ambulance crews, two paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first paramedic arrived in less than seven minutes.

“We treated one patient at the scene and took him by road to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
