Burnt Oak stabbing: Two teens charged with murder after man, 28, killed outside Tube station

Two teenagers have been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death outside a busy north London underground station.

The victim, who has been named as 28-year-old Muhamoud Mohamed Mahdi by police, was stabbed several times in the chest.

Mr Mahdi, from Finchley Road, was killed in Watling Avenue, outside Burnt Oak underground station, Barnet, at around 5pm on Friday.

Yesterday, Christian Adom Kuta-Danku, 18, of Rayners Lane, Harrow, and a boy, 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also of Harrow, were charged with murder.

Both will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today.

A 19-year-old man was also arrested, and bailed to a date in late March pending further enquiries.

Det Ch Insp Neil John said: “Muhamoud lived with his mother in Barnet.

“She will be supported by specialist Met officers throughout the unimaginably difficult days and months ahead.”
