Brixton shooting: Man, 22, in hospital after being shot on estate

The Met Police are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old man was shot on an estate in south London.

Officers were called at 1.43am on Friday June 21 to reports of a firearm being discharged in Carrara Close, Somerleyton Estate, Brixton.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics also attended and found the young man with gunshot injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains.

His condition is not life threatening, a Met Police spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
