Met Police vehicles were seen at Brent Cross shopping centre in Barnet on Thursday morning (December 28).

Police carried out a search of Brent Cross shopping centre on Thursday morning following a threat sent by email.

The Met says nothing was found in the search of the building, which was closed to the public at the time, and that enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at approximately 9.20am on Thursday December 28 after a threatening email was sent to Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

"As a precaution, officers carried out a search of the building which wasn’t open to the public at the time. Nothing suspicious was found and the incident was stood down. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
