Boy, 16, arrested after woman stabbed in Ilford

A male aged 16 has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and remains in custody at an east London police station.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Seven Kings, Ilford, east London.

Police were called at around 8.05pm on Friday, July 8, to reports of a stabbing on St Johns Road, Ilford, in Redbridge.

Officers found a 27-year-old woman suffering stab injuries to her back.

She was taken to hospital, and her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

It comes after images were released as part of the police investigation into the assault.
