Christmas in London 2022: the list of food banks in the London area, and how to access them ahead of Christmas Day
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
For many of us, Christmas Day can be a day of overindulgence with Christmas dinner, Christmas pudding and the array of chocolate selections that stuff more than just the stocking. But for many, especially during a cost of living crisis, even a staple food item like bread is becoming a luxury commodity for the poorer areas of London.
NationalWorld has partnered up with Trussell Trust this winter to help meet the increased need and support food banks during one of their toughest winters to date. The campaign looks to help food banks across the country with donations as for the first time ever, food banks are giving out more food than is being donated, dwindling reserves.

Hide AdAlongside NationalWorld’s involvement with The Trussell Trust, Londonworld has put together for families in this time of need a list of food banks in the capital, all of which sourced direct from Trussell Trust themselves.
A number of these food banks are now operating on an appointment only basis, due to the sheer number of people in dire straits when it comes to simple day-to-day nourishment. We’ve included direct links to all the food banks mentioned, which will also give details on opening hours leading up to Christmas Day and what local organisations you may need to contact in order to make an appointment (such as a local Citizens Advice Bureau)
For those who wish to make a donation in the ongoing campaign between NationalWorld and The Trussell Trust, which includes single and monthly donation amounts, you can visit the campaign’s webpage for more information.
