Asia Brown, who filmed the footage from her window, was left speechless at the sight. Her daughter had told her she had spotted the camel but she had brushed it off as her imagination.

When she saw it from the window she said in disbelief: "Na I’m seeing too much weird stuff today - what is going on?"

Asia was left in stitches at the bizarre sight, asking again “What is going on?" as her daughter says: “See, I told you there was a camel.”

The video has been viewed more than 150,000 times on TikTok with social media users quick to respond with jokes.

“Cheaper than London transport,” said one user.

Another wrote: “Great way to get around ULEZ charges.”

One user joked: “The three Kings have places to be.”

Some people suggested that the camel had been used for a nativity play.

One X user wrote: "It happened in Chingford. They march it down the road most years with a few wise men and that. Don't ask me where they get it from."
