British Airways announce new daily flight from London Heathrow to Florence in 2023 - here’s when and cost

British Airways has announced they will be operating a new flight from London Heathrow to Florence in 2023. Florence will become one of 11 cities BA flies to in Italy, along with Naples, Rome and Milan, among others.

It adds to the airline’s already vast network that sees them serve more than 190 destinations across more than 65 countries, including 26 cities in the United States alone. BA operates out of three major London airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and London City.

Italy is one of the most sought after holiday destinations in the world with Florence being the capital of the country’s Tuscany region. It is renowned for its history and architecture, boasting attractions such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Piazzale Michelangelo, a popular vantage point in which to view the city.

The London Heathrow to Florence flight joins a host of new routes starting in the Summer 2023 season, such as London Gatwick to Aruba and Guyana, and London Heathrow to Cincinnati, Ohio.

We’ve added this new route from London Heathrow to the Tuscan capital to offer them even more choice to explore this incredible Italian region.

“Not only is this good news for UK travellers, but also for those connecting in London to and from US destinations. The flights’ timings have been optimised for connectivity to popular routes, including New York, Boston and Chicago.”

When does the flight from London Heathrow to Florence begin?

The new flight that will see British Airways fly from London Heathrow to Florence in Italy will begin on April 26, 2023 from Terminal five. People wishing to fly this route starting next year can now book return flights starting from £114 on British Airways’ website.
