There can be no doubt that this was Raye's year in the Brit Awards at the O2 arena.
The singer and songwriter who grew up in Tooting and Croydon walked away with six awards, following the release of her album My 21st Century Blues. She far surpassed fellow London acts Harry Styles, Adele and Blur, who had all received four in previous years.
Among the stars performing were Global Icon winner Kylie Minogue and Camden's Dua Lipa, who won the fan-voted Pop Act award.
The Last Dinner Party, who formed in south London, were the winners of this year's Rising Star award.
Producer of the Year was awarded to Chase & Status, who performed Disconnect with Becky Hill,
This year's category changes saw the Brits extend the number of nominees in the Artist of the Year category from five to 10. The introduction of the R&B award celebrated talent including Mahalia, Jorja Smith, Salut and Cleo Sol - although Raye ultimately claimed the prize in her haul.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was that Taylor Swift was not among the winners. She missed out on the International Artist of the Year award to SZA, whose album SOS has been a sensation.
The show, in its 44th year, was hosted by Maya Jama, Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp, sponsored by Mastercard and broadcast on ITV.
