Brentford: new West London Everyman Cinema opening this spring and food can be delivered to your seat

A brand new Everyman Cinema is set to open in Brentford as part of the long term regeneration of the area. The venue is earmarked for opening in spring 2025.

The cinema will be located just off Brentford High Street, on Bradbury Yard. The cinema will host 225 ‘plush velvet seats’ within three ‘state-of-the-art’ screens.

Movie-lovers will also be able to make use of a brand new lounge, equipped with a cocktail bar offering a wide menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will also be a full food menu, which can be delivered to people in their seats.

The new cinema will be part of the wider ‘Brentford Project’, a major waterfront regeneration scheme, encompassing the ’15-minute town’ concept. The project aims to ‘revitalise’ the town centre, improve the high street, and create a ‘mixed-use urban village where the River Brent meets the Thames’.

The wider regeneration of Brentford focuses on culture and entertainment. In November 2024 the Local Democracy Reporting Service exclusively revealed that a new Art Centre, featuring a theatre and hundreds of homes was to be built in Brentford.

When this was announced, many residents were disappointed the new centre wouldn’t feature a cinema, after Watermans Art Centre and cinema was closed by Hounslow Council in April 2024.

The new cinema is expected to be a flagship attraction of the project. Alongside the venue there will be new shops, cafes, and a new ‘Waterfront Square’. Waterfront Square has been designed to ‘bring the community together’ with dedicated spaces for outdoor markets, performance, and public events.

October 2024 saw the launch of the most recent phase of ‘The Brentford Project’ with construction starting on Quincy House. 85 homes will be built in this block comprising of studios, one, two and three-bedroom flats.
