Amazon to open retail store in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush

Amazon is to open only its second retail store in the country in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush.

As opposed to the Amazon Fresh stores, which sell food and drink, this shop will flog regular products sold by the online retailer.

It is named Four Star, as every item on sale will be rated at least four-star on the website.

The idea, as well as making Amazon more accessible for those who can’t access the internet, is to hopefully curb the issue of waiting too long as the parcel comes in the post.

This is the second Four Star shop to be opened in the UK, after opening its doors to one in Kent, in early October.

The store will be around 5,000 square feet, and will sell a variety of Amazon products ranging from books, games, toys and dog toys.

Due to its set up, the items sold in the store will be a direct reflection of what the wider public purchase from Amazon.

Customers can buy goods online and collect from the store, the next day, or whenever they deem most convenient from them.

If we’re seeing a similar set up to the store in Kent, expect the new Westfield Amazon shop to stock around 2,000 products.
