London Marathon 2023: Restaurants giving runners free food and drink including Bill’s and Franco Manca

The London Marathon is back and runners are only days away from attempting the 26.2 mile stretch. Taking into account the huge distance covered, runners will need to seriously refuel after the race.

Thankfully, the capital has an extensive list of incredible restaurants to choose from and some are even giving bites away for free. All you need is your medal or volunteer-ID and a serious appetite.

From a free burger & beer at Bills to a full-size pizza at Franco Manca, here is a list of London restaurants offering free food and drink at the London Marathon 2023.

Restaurants offering free food and drink to London Marathon runners

Vapiano

Renowned for their fresh pizza and pasta and their delicious variety of pasta shapes and pizza toppings, Vapiano are offering London Marathon participants a complimentary main course.

How to claim?: Between Sunday April 23 and Thursday April 27, London Marathon participants can claim a free main course by showing their medal at any Vapiano UK restaurant.

MEATLiquor

Yet again, MEATLiquor is offering medal bearers a choice of burger from their delicious menu. While the restaurant does offer vegetarian and vegan burgers, runners may want to opt for six Impossible Nuggets, made from Plant, instead.

How to claim?: Bring your medal or Volunteer I.D to any London MEATliquor and get your free food.

LEON

To support those taking part, LEON is providing its naturally fast food for runners to fuel-up or re-fuel after the finish line. Runners can enjoy a Free Vegan Moroccan Meatballs Box during the whole weekend.

Additionally for those cheering on their friends and loved ones LEON is also giving away regular sized Barista-made drinks, hot or cold with a minimum spend of £5

How to claim?: To redeem, runners need to place an order for Vegan Moroccan Meatballs and enter code RUNBABYRUN at the checkout, in the ‘discount code’ box. Runners may also be asked to show their race number when redeeming their free box.

To redeem their regular-sized drinks, guests need to place an order for a hot or cold drink of their choice along with an order for value of £5. Then, enter the code COFFEECHEER at the checkout, in the ‘discount code’ box.

Bills 

Bills are offering marathon runners the chance to sit back and relax post race, with a scrumptious burger and a Peroni to celebrate crossing the finish line. Those who don’t drink alcohol or are under 18, can opt for a soft drink instead.

How to claim?: To receive your celebratory treat, runners are required to show their 2023 medal to their server when they dine in on April 23 (race day).

Franco Manca

Runners can claim a free pizza on the menu or specials board on April 23 and 24. The offer is available nationwide.

How to claim?: Flash your medal when ordering to qualify for the free food.

Maxwell’s Bar & Grill

Marathon participants can claim a free burger in Maxwell’s Bar & Grill restaurant in Covent Garden.

How to claim?: Simply show the server your medal and you will be rewarded with a delicious burger.

The Real Greek

The Real Greek are back again with another incredible London Marathon offer. For runners wanting to dine in, the restaurant is offering a free Greek plate of your choosing.

How to claim?: From Sunday April 23 until Thursday April 27, runners simply have to present their medal at any of The Real Greek’s UK restaurants.
