Claridge's is owned and managed by the Maybourne Hotel Group. The hotel operator also owns other luxury London residences, including The Connaught and The Berkeley.
The ownership of Claridge's previously made headlines in 2022 after it was reported two of the parent company's directors had been removed from its board.
At the time, the Financial Times cited former prime minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani and former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani as owners of the Maybourne Hotels, with Marc Socker and Gianluca Muzzi appointed as its co-chief executives.
