Stratford Shopping Centre: Which shops, takeways and restaurants are in the east London retail destination

Next to Westfield Stratford City, across the railway tracks, is a shopping centre which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.

Stratford Centre, or Stratford Shopping, is an indoor mall that opened in 1974 and is home to major chains and fast-food outlets.

The centre is also a public highway, with pedestrians using it to reach the High Street.

Newham Council has plans to make permanent the overnight closure, from 9pm to 5am, which was introduced during the pandemic on public safety grounds. In 2019 it was being used by up to 89 people who had become homeless.
