Thousands of racegoers showed up in their finery for Ladies’ Day, on the third day of Royal Ascot.

The five-day event in Berkshire is expected to attract a total of 270,000 racegoers.

For the first time since 2019, there will be crowds of usual capacity, after coronavirus restrictions meant only 12,000 could attend in 2021.

The Queen, who is a seasoned Ascot attendee has yet to make an appearance this year.

Instead, other royals like the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, and Princess Beatrice have attended the race days so far.

On Thursday, women from all over the country came to the racing event, dressed in their most colourful and eye-catching wares for the occasion.
