Assess your goals

If you’re still doing the same work-out as you were when you first started then you need to consider switching up your routine.

How long has it been since you last switched up the exercises you were doing?

Doing the same routine every work-out means you are going to struggle to make any progress or reach your fitness goals.

Take a look at your routine and assess what you want to achieve.

Then do some research about what exercises could be better for you and the ideal rep ranges.

Check your nutrition

Fitness goals aren’t just about exercising on a regular basis, nutrition is just as important.

It can be really easy to get into a rut with meals and with food delivery now easier than ever it can be a slippery slope into bad habits.

Our ability to reach our work-out goals is heavily dependent on the foods we are putting into our bodies.

It’s important to research how many calories to aim for based on your fitness goals, as well as how much protein you should be incorporating into your diet.

This is the perfect time to review your food decisions and maybe try some new tasty recipes.

This small change can make sure you keep your diet on track and help make the best progress towards your goals.

In order to keep exercise exciting it’s important to try something new, why not check out a new fitness class or work out style?

You could even just switch up the exercises you’re doing to not get bored with your routine.

By injecting your routine with something new it can ensure that exercising doesn’t become stale and that workouts feel exciting.

Trying a new class might even give you a new skill to master.

A great way to kick your motivation into gear is signing up for a fitness event as this gives you a deadline and a goal to be working towards.

It’s important to choose something that you feel will challenge you, interest you and keep you motivated without feeling too impossible.

This could be a running event or an inflatable obstacle course or even a sponsored charity walk that could help you raise money for something meaningful to you.

Commit to 30 minutes a day

Spring is here and the days are only going to get warmer and brighter.

You might want to spend more time with family and friends and this might mean your routine may need to change.

If spending time at the gym doesn’t fit into this routine right now then just commit to 30 minutes of moderate activity a day.

This could be a fitness class with a friend or a walk outside in the sunshine.

Taking 30 minutes every day helps maintain your fitness and helps build your strength for the days where you feel ready to go harder for longer.

PureGym London is will be offering a discount on the first three months for new members in the city, with a £0 joining fee, running from April 19 to 25.
