Then it’s on to a lavish turkey dinner served with pigs in blankets, pork and apricot stuffing, goose fat roast potatoes, brussel sprouts with lardons and chestnuts, roast carrots, parsnips and turkey jus.

Gunpowder Festive Stuffed Chicken

For those of you looking for an alternative to the traditional turkey dinner, why not try an Indian themed Christmas by ordering a Gunpowder festive stuffed chicken.

It is based on the restaurant’s hugely popular murgh musallam and so it has been marinated in yoghurt, roasted red pepper puree and tandoori spices for more than 30 hours.

The Cornish, corn-fed main event is stuffed with black pork mince, dried apricots, hot lime, mango pickle, ginger, chilli and spices with a boiled egg at the centre.
