Shrove Tuesday: Where to get free pancakes in London today

Pancake Day is almost upon us and those wanting to score a free offering in London here’s where city locals can head to.

Honouring the final day before Lent, Shrove Tuesday better known as Pancake Day sees Brits across the country and in the capital enjoy plates of the thin round treat.

If you don’t want to make your own, there are a few places around the city that are set to serve up free pancakes.

Here’s where Londoners can score free pancakes for Pancake Day 2025:

1. Where The Pancakes Are

The all-day pancake restaurant is set to serve up free pancakes across their capital locations. Each of their locations including their Fizrovia, London Bridge and Battersea Power Station will have 25 complimentary portions up for grab.

When: From 7am - 10pm

2. Lockhouse London

The Paddington pub located in the spot’s Merchant Square is also offering free pancakes to Londoners. Those wanting one just need to make sure they follow both @lockhouselondon @merchantsquareldn on Instagram to claim.

When: From 11am

3. Leadenhall Market

As part of the spot’s annual Pancake Day race hosted by its 18th century pub – The Lamb Tavern, those watching from the sidelines will also be able to grab a pancake made by The Lamb’s Head Chef.

From 12.30am
