The Swedish furniture retailer has joined London’s diverse restaurant scene with its latest expansion in the capital.
Last week Ikea opened an eatery independent from its other London stores on the city’s high street. The opening marks the brand’s first stand-alone restaurant in the country.

The new restaurant, which is based in Hammersmith, is also next door to Ikea’s new store in the area. In what once was a Wasabi restaurant the new eatery will serve up a wider range of iconic Swedish dishes.
Some of the dishes on the menu include the classic meatballs and a plant based alternative as well as pasta in a tomato and basil sauce and Salmon with Couscous and Yogurt.
There will also be a few breakfast options including fry ups with bacon, sausage, hash brown, omelette, baked beans & tomato.

“Fans of our delicious dishes can recharge during their shopping trip with our famous Swedish meatballs, pop in for a traditional Swedish ‘fika’ break for coffee and a sweet treat, or find an affordable meal for the kids right on the high street.”
To celebrate the restaurant opening, Ikea Family Members will be able to get £5 off in the Hammersmith store if they spend £5 at the new restaurant on the same day until November 30.
