Don Bastiano: Jamie Oliver names London's most 'overrated restaurant' - but there's something you should know

This week Jamie Oliver opened up on some of his best and … worst foodie spots in London although one of his answers left fans rather confused.

While appearing on Topjaw’s Best Of London series which invites celebs and famous faces to share some of their fave spots in the city, Oliver shared his pick for the most overrated place in the city.

After some hesitation on whether he had to answer the question, he went on to say a restaurant named ‘Don Bastiano.’

He explained: “Don Bastiano. Everyone was talking about it. Like I personally thought it was overpriced.”

Oliver continued to claim that he had even got food poisoning after dining at the restaurant which took days to recover from.

He added: “I got food poisoning and literally had the s***s for like three days. It’s wrong. So unless you want that. I wouldn't bother, no disrespect.”

However rather confusingly a quick Google search shows there is no such restaurant in London that goes by the name of Don Bastiano.

Topjaw shared a clip of the hilarious moment on their Instagram which has already amassed over 13,500 likes. 

In the comments fans have applauded Oliver for his response. One fan wrote: “Well played Jamie,” while another added: “Haha this is so good. Legend.”

The chef has since responded to the clip on his Instagram stories as apologised to the non existent restaurant. He wrote: “Sorry Don Bastiano…” along with the eyes emoji looking left.
