I visited Battersea Power Station to experience a bougie Christmas day out
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Battersea Power Station is an impressive spot year round but at Christmas London’s newest riverside neighbourhood is dazzling with festive sparkle.
Since its much anticipated opening last October the Grade II* listed iconic London landmark has attracted Londoners and tourists alike to its array of new shops, restaurants and entertainment spaces, with many new openings added throughout the year.

Acclaimed artist David Hockney has unveiled a spectacular Christmas light display projected onto the two 100-metre-tall chimneys.

For those who fancy a spot of open air ice skating, Glide at Battersea Power Station has returned again for a second year.
This year my friend and I decided to skip the ice skating to try out a bougie festive craft session delivered by London’s oldest florist Moyses Stevens.

Hide AdAround 10 of us joined the Christmas table centre workshop run by our fabulous tutor Gemma.
In the session we were given a step to step guide on how to arrange our foliage, berries and Christmas flowers into our oasis which was topped with a beautiful silver candle.
We were given dried oranges and cones and taught how to incorporate them into our arrangement using wire.
This was the perfect session to unwind on a Friday evening as it was creative, mindful and the atmosphere was really relaxing.

The session does cost £60 which is on the pricier side but with the quality of the materials and the individualised support from the tutor I would definitely recommend treating yourself to one of these workshops especially when you can take your beautiful crafts home with you.
After our lovely workshop our next stop was dinner at the Arcade Food Hall.
Arcade, which features two bars, three restaurants, and a private dining room opened at Battersea Power Station in July.

And a feast was what we had! My friend and I started off our meal with delicious cocktails from the ABC bar.
For our dinner we shared a number of dishes including a sushi set from Sushi Kamon, pork carnitas from Mexa, chicken MoMos from Tipan Tapan, a very spicy Thai salad from Phed Power, a tikka dish from Hero and a lamb flatbread from Flatbread by Thomas Straker.

This style of dining is really social. It was like having a tapas meal with global cuisine as we enjoyed Thai, Nepalese, Indian, Mexican, Lebanese and Japanese dishes all in one sitting.

There are plenty of other restaurants to enjoy including the recently opened Dishoom, Joia and Noci.
Battersea Power Station is not a cheap spot but if you’re looking to treat yourself this festive season there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
