A study has revealed that as of this year, the average life expectancy in the UK is 81 years old.

New data by Now Patient has carried out research to reveal the healthiest areas in England based on factors such as obesity rates, the percentage of adults who eat their 5-a-day and are classified as physically active.

The data also looked at the average life expectancy in each area, with a London borough topping the list.

Here are the London boroughs that featured on the list of the areas with the highest average life expectancy.

1. Kensington and Chelsea

Kensington and Chelsea has the highest life expectancy in England, averaging just over 86 years.

2. Westminster

Westminster has the second highest average life expectancy in England at 85.91 years.

3. Camden

Camden has the third highest life expectancy in England at 85.39 years.

4. Richmond upon Thames

Richmond upon Thames came fourth on the list with an average life expectancy of 84.31 years.

7. Harrow

Harrow came seventh on the list with an average life expectancy of 83.96 years.

8. Barnet

Barnet featured eighth on the list with an average life expectancy of 83.77 years.

10. Kingston upon Thames

Kingston upon Thames has the 10th highest life expectancy in England, averaging at 83.45 years.
