Students and staff at The Compton School are celebrating after collecting their A Level and BTEC grades this morning, the best in the school’s history. The school is delighted with the academic outcomes of this year’s cohort. The Sixth Form is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year.
The Sixth-Form students at the school, located on Summers Lane in North Finchley and part of Middlesex Learning Trust, have achieved outstanding results following two years of hard work and determination in preparing for their exams.
The school achieved a 99% pass rate in both A Level and vocational subjects, with over half of students achieving A*-B grades, exceeding all predicted targets.
Across Year 13, students saw success in all areas of the curriculum, with particularly strong outcomes in Mathematics, the Sciences, Humanities and the Arts.
The whole school is now celebrating these achievements, with the majority of students securing places at their chosen universities and in highly skilled employment, as they take their next steps in education or careers.
While all students have done incredibly well, some standout individual achievements include:
- Misha Fudo Myo Gomulak who secured A* in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics and an A in Psychology and he has secured a place at Warwick Univsersity to study Mathematics and Statistics.
- Scarlett Peters, who achieved Distinction*, Distinction* in BTEC Business and Distinction* in BTEC Sport. She has secured an Apprenticeship with Aventum in Speciality Insurance.
- Myaah Ebanks-Lutterodt, who achieved an A* in Economics, A in History and an A in Geography. She is taking a gap year and wants to apply to UCL to study International Business.
- Destan Serindag, who achieved an A in Biology, an A in Chemistry and an A in Mathematics. He has secured his first choice of university and is heading to Bristol to study Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
Louise Ismail and Andrew Hammond, Co-Headteachers at The Compton School said: “We couldn’t be prouder of all our students who we know worked so hard, with the support of their teachers and families, to achieve these results.
"Our mission at The Compton School is to secure academic ‘Excellence for All’, and we know that our students will now be able to take their next steps with confidence they will succeed. It is very rewarding to see students we have worked with heading off to the universities or careers of their choices.”
