Southgate School celebrates stand out A Level success

Students at Southgate School are celebrating after collecting their A Level grades this morning.

The Sixth-Form students at the school, located on Sussex Road, Enfield and part of Middlesex Learning Trust, have achieved brilliant results following two years of hard work and determination in preparing for their exams.

The school achieved a positive value added score of +0.18, which means that students have over performed against their target grades; this is up from last year’s figure. Also improved is the amount of students receiving A*-C grades, 78% up from last year’s 75%.

Across Year 13, students saw particular success in Art with 100% A*-B, English Lit with 93% A*-C, Product Design with 80% A*-B and Theatre Studies with 100% A*-B

The whole school is now celebrating these achievements, with students securing places at their chosen universities and in highly skilled employment, as they take their next steps in education or careers.

Particularly pleasing is the fact that so many students exceeded their targets grades, which is a reflection of the quality of teaching and support that Southgate students experience, alongside their own perseverance and hard work. We are proud of them all and wish them continued success in the next stage of their lives.”
