Mayor of Barnet joins Playground Proms at Livingstone Primary

The Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Danny Rich, attended a joyful Playground Proms performance at Livingstone Primary and Nursery School on Tuesday 1st July, where pupils were treated to an interactive classical music workshop led by comedy string quartet Graffiti Classics.

The event was part of Playground Proms’ 2025 UK tour, which will reach over 73,000 children in 15 locations, including its first appearances in London. Children enjoyed a lively blend of music, movement and comedy, with opportunities to conduct, explore rhythm, and perform their own verse of the Playground Proms anthem.

Created in 2021 to deliver music outdoors during the pandemic, Playground Proms has since reached nearly 50,000 children across the UK and Ireland. With support from Arts Council England and local Music Hubs, this year’s expanded tour includes their first performances in London playground.

Playground Proms concludes its London dates this week, with performances at schools across Haringey, and then finishing this year's tour in Portsmouth and Southampton.
