Unique fundraising concert being staged in London to spread joy for young adults in need

A unique concert will be held in London on Friday 26 September raising funds and awareness for The Chronicles of Hope CIC, which provides support for young adults whose parents have a life limiting illness. The concert will be held at St Anne and St Agnes Church in Gresham Street from 6.30pm.

Organised and hosted by classically trained singing teacher and mentor Julie Bale, the cohort consists of fourteen singers, many who have previously been told they cannot sing or have been shamed into not using their voices in some way. They have since been receiving expert tutelage from Julie as part of her specialist course First Note to Final Curtain.

Inspiring and uplifting in its content, the gala concert will celebrate music ranging from Les Miserables to soulful ballads and opera classics.

The Chronicles of Hope CIC was founded by mum of two, Annie Bennett from Hailsham, East Sussex, who was given an incurable bone cancer diagnosis in July last year. Instead of dwelling on the news, she decided to turn her situation into a positive way forward to help others.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to funding memory-making experiences for families through The Chronicles of Hope. It is hoped these moments of joy and connection will help the young adults and their families in the middle of some incredibly difficult times.

Chronicles of Hope CIC Founder, Annie Bennett says, “As a trained opera singer myself I know how special it will be to hear these beautiful songs performed in such a great location. And knowing that each note sung will help those like my two daughters Heather and Elfie, means the world.”

Concert Organiser and professional singer Julie Bale adds, “We’ve chosen St Anne and St Agnes Church in London’s Gresham Street for a reason – the acoustics are simply stunning. Each singer will be accompanied by a professional pianist, and I’m blown away by how much each of them has grown during this whole process. From being told they couldn’t sing to about to blow everyone away with their talent – it really is quite incredible.”

Tickets to the charitable gala concert are on sale for just £25 each and can be purchased at: thechroniclesofhope.org/chronicles-of-hope-gala
