TreeHouse School for Autistic Children ‘grateful’ for support from Morrisons Foundation
Ambitious About Autism, the national charity that supports autistic children and young people, were delighted to receive a donation of £7,862 from the Morrisons Foundation.
The generous grant from the charitable arm of the supermarket has covered the costs of an innovative ‘iSandbox’, which is an interactive, multi-sensory learning tool. The specialist equipment is designed to engage autistic learners aged 5-19 years at TreeHouse School in Haringey.
Lily Armstrong, Trust Fundraiser from Ambitious About Autism said: “At Ambitious about Autism, we stand with autistic children and young people across the UK, championing their rights, creating opportunities, and providing quality education where they can thrive.”
“Thanks to the Morrisons Foundation, TreeHouse School will soon welcome a new iSandbox, an innovative tool that uses augmented reality to support our autistic cohort through sensory play, exploration and classroom learning.“

“We are so grateful for this gift, which will engage and inspire our pupils for years to come."
Based in Haringey, TreeHouse School is run by the charity and provides specialist school and sixth form for autistic children and young people. The school provides places for up to 100 pupils aged 3-19 with autism and learning disabilities from across London and the Home Counties.
The Morrisons Foundation was set up by Morrisons supermarket in 2015 and awards grants for charity projects which help improve people’s lives. Since launching, over £45 million has been donated to hundreds of charities across England, Scotland and Wales.
