Treat your pup to a royal experience this National Picnic Month

With the sun finally shining, and July being National Picnic Month, have you considered treating your doggy pal to a tasty alfresco dining experience?

People across the nation are being encouraged to enjoy a picnic in the park and to mark the occasion, one London hotel has a picnic experience for the whole family, including the dog.

The iconic Mayfair hotel, DUKES London, is situated in the heart of the capital and within a stone’s throw of two of the city’s famous Royal Parks - Green Park and St James’s Park.

The DUKES Dog Picnic can be enjoyed in both these dog friendly parks and includes two tasty toys, and a choice of wet and dry food.

For those that don’t have a canine companion the hotel also offers a range of other picnics, including the Little Dukes and Duchesses picnic for children, including a Paddington favourite - marmalade sandwiches, vegetarian and vegan picnics, an Afternoon Tea picnic and the decadent DUKES Perrier-Jouët picnic.

All picnics are prepared by the hotel’s Great British Restaurant, which also supplies a comfy rug, cutlery and - should you wish - some special touches such as flowers, truffles or bottles of champagne.

Michael Purtill, General Manager of DUKES London, said: “Picnicking is a real British tradition and being situated in such close proximity to two of London’s Royal Parks, we wanted to give people the opportunity to really enjoy the experience and make it a little bit special.
