They have recently opened Beaver Scouts (6–8-year-olds) which is now full, Cub Scouts (8–10-year-olds) that has limited spaces left, and will be opening Scouts (10–13-year-olds) on Monday, November 4.
The Scout Troop will meet at Baring Primary School, Linchmere Road, SE12 0NB from 19.45 to 21.15. For further information, contact David [email protected] and sign up your child before all the spaces are filled.

Hide AdScouting is more than just having fun. Scouts learn skills that are essential to their personal development and reaching their full potential.


The Scouts will take part in activities and adventures, encouraged to ask the bigger questions, think on their feet, be part of a team and always have a plan B up their sleeves.
In a recent poll 94% of Scouts said they had developed useful skills. 88% said they’ve tried activities they haven’t tried before. Scouts offers over two hundred activities from abseiling and coding to drama and water-zorbing.
The 9th Lewisham North Scout Group have been running an active programme to welcome their new youth members including an emergency services day with support from the Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police Service local Safer Neighbourhoods team, and St John Ambulance.

Hide AdThe young people, and families had a great day, learnt lots, were able to get hands on and ask lots of questions of some of the hard-working people who keep Lewisham safe.
A key part of Scouting is a promise to help other people, be an active citizen making a difference in their local area and the young people enjoyed finding out more about how others support the community in Lewisham.
Dwayne Fields, Chief Scout said: ’I’m incredibly pleased that the 9th Lewisham North Scout Group have re-opened. This means we will now have more young people in the local community making friends, building their confidence, and gaining skills that will prepare them for life and work.
"When I was young, as quite a shy kid, I remember walking into my local Scout meeting place and getting such a warm welcome. I found people who believed in me, and that helped me believe in myself. This set me on a path to adventure – taking me to Antarctica, the Galapagos Islands and even the North Pole.
