London pub crawl revealed as a top bucket list travel activity
The research, conducted by the team at The Bucket List Company, analyses Google search data to reveal the destinations at the top of people’s bucket lists. The study also highlights the most popular destinations on each continent and which hotspots are growing in popularity.
Taking the top Spot is Lapland, renowned for its beautiful landscapes and festive goings on. Visitors can explore picturesque villages and engage in winter activities like dog sledding and snowmobiling before stopping off at Santa’s grotto. Lapland’s magical atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for families.

In Second place is the Camino de Santiago, Spain. A historic pilgrimage to the shrine of the apostle St James in Santiago de Compostela which draws thousands of travellers each year. Popular not just for its spiritual significance but also for the opportunity to disconnect, experience breathtaking landscapes, and embrace a transformative journey of self-reflection.
Seeing the Northern Lights in Norway is the 3rd most popular bucket list activity. The aurora borealis, with its shimmering waves of green, pink, and violet, is often visible in the Arctic regions of Norway, particularly during the winter months. This otherworldly phenomenon, combined with the dramatic landscapes of snow-covered fjords and starry skies, creates an unforgettable experience.

Interrailing around Europe is also ranked as the third most popular bucket-list activity, offering travelers the freedom to explore the diverse cultures, landscapes, and history of the continent by train. With an Interrail pass, adventurers can visit multiple cities and countries in one trip, from the romantic streets of Paris to the ancient ruins of Rome, all while enjoying the comfort and scenic views of Europe's vast rail network.
Perhaps surprisingly, a London pub tour ranks as the 6th most popular bucket list travel activity for people around the world. While Londoners themselves may not be as enamored with the idea, it's clear that many travelers find the notion of exploring the city's historic and atmospheric pubs incredibly appealing.
