London charity has rooms available for people experiencing homelessness
Homelessness charity Emmaus Greenwich is accepting applications from individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their home. Rooms are available at the purpose-built residential community in Plumstead, which provides accommodation for up to 45 adults.
Emmaus Greenwich offers more than just a place to stay. The charity provides long-term, stable housing alongside meaningful work opportunities and personalised support, helping individuals to rebuild their lives, regain confidence, and move towards independence.
Residents, known as companions, play an active role in the Emmaus community by working in the charity’s social enterprises. This model of purposeful activity combined with tailored support gives people the structure and dignity they need to recover and thrive.
Each companion receives their own furnished bedroom, access to communal living spaces, and an allowance. Emmaus also covers basic living expenses and offers a wide range of personal development opportunities, from driving lessons and wellbeing activities to accredited training and vocational qualifications.

Laura Fox, Chief Operating Officer, Emmaus Greenwich, said, “Experiencing homelessness can leave people feeling isolated and without options. At Emmaus Greenwich, we offer more than just a roof over someone’s head; we provide a supportive community, personalised support, and meaningful work opportunities that help people rebuild their confidence, develop new skills, and move towards a brighter, more stable future.”
Adults aged 18 and over who are rough sleeping, vulnerably housed, or at risk of homelessness can apply for a room at Emmaus Greenwich.
