Google Reference Schools are recognised by the search engine giant for their outstanding use of technology to drive positive learning outcomes. There are just a handful of such schools in London, with Grange Park being the first to achieve the status in Enfield.
Tijen Hassan, the school’s Headteacher, said: “At Grange Park, we are deeply aware that we are preparing our children for the world that will await them in 10-15 year’s time when they have finished their education.

Tijen said that the impact has been tangible.
“Not only do we have digitally confident pupils with the competence and confidence to use a wide range of tools, we are also seeing the pace of learning improve as children are able to have work marked in real time and teachers are able to use IT to work much more efficiently.”
As a result, pupils at the school are achieving outcomes that are well above all national averages in academic performance.
A spokesperson from Google, said: "Google for Education is delighted to welcome Grange Park Primary School as the latest Google Reference School in the UK.

The school is part of the Connect Education Trust. Andorulla Nicou, CEO, said: “Investment in a more robust infrastructure is key in today’s tech world and the Trust has made sure that our schools have access to everything they need to succeed.
“Connect Education invested over £1 million in Chromebooks to equip every student from KS1 to KS2 with a device.
As a family of schools, we are so incredibly proud to have Grange Park leading the way in IT.”
