Bushey House resident enjoys trip to model railway club
Bushey House Beaumont Resident Ambassador, Jeremy Jacobs, enjoyed a visit to the South West Herts model railway club today.
Jeremy is 87 and a long time fan of model railways. He was thrilled to meet the club members and see their amazing intricate railway models.
Jeremy shared his thoughts saying: "I've had a passion for model railways for many years but it's difficult for me to build my own now that I have a disability. It made my day to visit the club and meet everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing their exhibition in May."
Club Secretary, Ken Halse, said: "It was great to welcome Jeremy to our club and to show him some of our model railways in action. We are a friendly bunch from all walks of life and welcome visitors to our club meetings in Bushey on Mondays and Wednesdays 10-12 and Thursdays 7.30-9.30pm."
