Antony Johnson, former history teacher turned author, releases new book 'Robbie and Alice - Tudor Reformation'
Antony Johnson, a former history teacher with a passion for the sixteenth century, is thrilled to announce the publication of his latest book, ‘Robbie and Alice - Tudor Reformation,’ the third instalment in the beloved ‘Robbie and Alice’ series.
This new adventure story promises to captivate readers of all ages, particularly those with an interest in Tudor England.
Having spent many years teaching history in schools, Antony has always brought his lessons to life through storytelling. His deep fascination with the rich and tumultuous era of the Tudor period has shaped his narratives and allowed him to create engaging and informative stories for young readers.
Antony explains, “Where possible, when teaching, I often sought to use story writing set back in history and plays with historical themes (scripted by me) to help illuminate events and build interest. I have spent several years writing the three ‘Robbie and Alice’ novels. I wanted to give a spiritual dimension to the story and fill it with young characters who, by engaging and cooperating with each other, grow inspiringly as they find themselves caught up in the swirl of Renaissance change, and the intrigue and ambitions of Henry VIII’scourt.”

‘Robbie and Alice - Tudor Reformation’ is set during a pivotal time in English history, the 1520s, and follows the adventures of a young couple, 15-year-old Robbie and 13-year-old Alice.
Their enduring bond has seen them through perilous situations in the first two books of the series and continues to shine as they face new challenges and adventures.
The book is noted for its layered, lyrical, and atmospheric storytelling, aimed at engaging older children, young adults, and anyone with an interest in historical fiction.
"Anyone who enjoys an adventure story combined with a rich historical backdrop will find ‘Robbie and Alice - Tudor Reformation’ to be an enthralling read," says Antony.
"I hope to inspire a love of history through my characters' journeys."
The previous titles in the series have been well received, and this new instalment promises to elevate the excitement with its compelling narrative and vivid historical details.
‘Robbie and Alice - Tudor Reformation’ is now available for purchase at major booksellers and online platforms.
