Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries launches new setting in Epsom
Local nursery, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries, is celebrating a successful first six weeks in business.
The brand-new setting, which opened near the heart of Epsom – conveniently located a short drive from the A24 and Epsom Downs and Ewell East train stations – opened in July of this year.
Launched by Hala al-Samawi and operated by experienced manager, Nichola Griffiths, the new setting has been delivering quality childcare to children around the town.

The new nursery, managed by Nichola Griffiths, is located in a beautifully renovated old cottage that retains many of its original features. With a large outdoor space for children to explore, the Epsom nursery has been thoughtfully re-designed to offer a nurturing environment for the children, characteristic of a Monkey Puzzle setting.
Nichola, who has over a decade of experience in the early years industry, is particularly excited to return to her roots.
“I’m originally from Epsom and my family still live locally, so it’s nice to give back to a community that I know so well,” said Nichola. “The location is really impressive! And it manages to retain some of the amazing features from the original building too. You can tell there’s been a real thought process behind every step of the renovation.”
The nursery’s warm and welcoming atmosphere is a testament to the efforts of franchisee Hala al-Samawi.
“Monkey Puzzle’s emphasis on creating a family feel is really important – the nursery already feels like a home away from home, especially for the children,” added Nichola.
Reflecting on the nursery's early success, Nichola noted: "We’ve already welcomed several children to the Epsom nursery, and it's been wonderful to see them settling in so well. As we move into the autumn, our goal is to achieve closer to full capacity, and we’re excited to welcome more families to our setting. We encourage interested parents to visit our website for more information and enquire.”
The Epsom setting is part of the nationwide Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries group, which boasts over 70 locations up and down the country.
Executive Chairman David Hancock expresses his pride in the launch of the new nursery, stating: “Opening our latest setting in Epsom is a proud moment. The team have worked incredibly hard over the past few months and are beginning to see the fruits of their labour. I’m excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for the guys, and I’m sure it’ll be a great success!”
