A young supporter of international children’s charity World Vision, Aleksandr from London is just 11 years old, and has done something very special this summer.
He has raised over £3,000 with his 350km cycle through the Swiss mountains, with the funds helping children across the world, inspired by a very moving trip he took with his family.

Recently me and my family went to South Africa, and we saw how less fortunate people lived.

"How they struggled everyday really touched me, and I decided to help. I wanted to cycle through Switzerland and the mountains where it’s hard to breathe, so I can push myself to the limits.”
These sorts of community fundraisers are so important for World Vision, and these funds will help support children in some of the world’s most vulnerable places, and is an example of how a little kindness can go a long way.
Aleksandr’s JustGiving page can be found here, charting his journey across the scenic mountains as he and his family took on this incredibly special challenge, pushing themselves personally.
