Chelsea have sent members of their scouting team to monitor one of Europe's top talents during the international break.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of football's fastest-rising stars - and Chelsea are thought to be interested in a move for him, after it was reported that they sent representatives to monitor him during Georgia's 3-1 defeat against Spain on Sunday evening. During the game, Kvaratskhelia scored Georgia's only goal of the game to pull the scores level - however, he could do nothing to prevent his side from leaving the game with a loss.

He is currently under contract at Napoli until 2027 - there are also ongoing talks for him to extend his deal at Gli Azzurri until 2028, with a large pay rise on the horizon. As such, any interested party wishing to bring him on board will need to act fast. So far this season, Kvaratskhelia has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Napoli, scoring four goals and notching up four assists.

Chelsea have no shortage of talented wingers in their squad, such as Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer, but bringing on board a talent of Kvaratskhelia's magnitude certainly can't hurt. Despite this, Chelsea are far from the only club who are thought to be in the race to secure his signature.

Who else is interested in a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

Besides Chelsea, Premier League clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United also sent scouts to watch Kvaratskhelia play against Spain on Sunday.

That's not all - he has also been linked with moves to teams such as PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Interest in the player is very high, as it has been for the last year - it's unclear how much it will take for Napoli to part ways with the 22-year-old, but it's likely that the Serie A reigning champions will command an astronomical fee for his services.
