Housebuilder's £6 million-plus investment in Earlsfield services
Taylor Wimpey has committed more than £6 million to deliver a range of new facilities and improvements to existing services in the areas surrounding its new King Georges Gate development in Earlsfield.
In accordance with planning permission for the wider King Georges Gate development, the housebuilder will pay Wandsworth Council over £6m, allocating a portion of these funds as a contribution to local employment and improvements to Garratt Lane.
More than £511,000 will be invested in arts and culture services, with further contributions of £307,000 and £115,000 dedicated to carbon offsetting and improvements to Garratt Lane.
Once complete, King Georges Gate will span over 3.5 acres and comprise up to 433 homes, with 34 per cent of homes given affordable housing status. With strong transport links, three play areas, local skate park, allotments, tennis courts and several footpaths, this vibrant community will be well suited to a range of buyers.

Adam Lelliott, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “We are committed to giving back to the local communities in which we build.
“The contributions towards community infrastructure and services will have a real impact on those living and working in Wandsworth. We are looking forward to welcoming the very first occupants to our King George’s Gate community later this year.”
Located on Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London, SW18 4DX, King Georges Gate currently has a range of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments available with prices starting from £450,000. For more information, please visit, https://www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/new-homes/earlsfield/king-georges-gate.
