West End Hit ‘Showstopper! The Improvised Musical’ returns – A musical you help create
Looking for something totally original to do in London this summer? Forget rehearsed scripts and predictable plots — Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is back in the West End and every single show is brand new.
‘Showstopper! The Improvised Musical’ returns to the Cambridge Theatre, 23 June!
‘Showstopper! The Improvised Musical’ is the Olivier Award-winning hit where the audience calls the shots. You suggest the setting, the genre, and even the title — and the cast turns it into a fully-fledged musical on the spot. Think Hamilton meets Whose Line Is It Anyway? with a dash of pure West End polish.
Now in its third year at the Cambridge Theatre, this comedy juggernaut has become a staple on the London theatre scene — and for good reason. It’s side-splittingly funny, incredibly clever, and unlike anything else on stage. One night you might see a jazz-funk musical set in space, the next a country ballad extravaganza in a primary school. It’s all up to you.

The cast is packed with improv royalty — from Ruth Bratt of the Comedy Store Players and BBC Radio 4’s Pippa Evans, to Miracle Chance (recently seen in Heathers and The Witches). And with their Edinburgh Fringe shows continuing to sell out 15 years on, the hype is very real.
This isn’t just a show, it’s a full-blown experience. They’ve got a podcast, they run improv workshops, and they’re basically the coolest musical theatre nerds in town!
Don’t miss your chance to join the fun – upcoming 2024 dates:
23 June, 21 July, 29 September, 20 October, 17 November, 15 December – all at 7:30pm

Where: Cambridge Theatre, West End
You bring the ideas, they bring the magic. This might just be the most fun night out in London!
