The event provided attendees with opportunities to develop new friendships while participating in artistic activities designed to enhance wellbeing and strengthen community bonds.
In a highlight of the gathering, the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service crew demonstrated specialised heatseeking equipment, offering residents a hands-on educational experience with the technology used in emergency response situations.
Home manager Corina Popescu said; "Attending these coffee mornings supports our aim to keep the residents of Paternoster House connected with the local community. We are grateful to the Epping Forest District Council Community and Wellbeing Champions for their continued support in facilitating these valuable community initiatives."
The community coffee morning is part of a series of events aimed at promoting social interaction and wellbeing among local residents. Paternoster House care home hosts its own ‘Coffee & Chat’ community café every Friday from 10.30am – 12.00pm. Helping to combat isolation, the café is fully complimentary and open to local older people, carers, their family and friends.
Paternoster House provides nursing, residential and dementia care for respite residents and longer-term care. Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
