The National Television Awards will return to London’s O2 Arena this week - here’s everything those attending the festivities in person need to know.

The biggest night in British TV is almost upon us as the National Television Awards will once again take over London’s O2 Arena. The iconic venue will host the celebrations this Tuesday (September 5).

Some of the nation’s most beloved TV shows will be praised in the capital this week. From soaps to reality tv, there is an array of popular shows in the running for awards at this year’s NTA’s, including The Traitors and Queen Charlotte: A Brigerton Story.

London’s O2 Arena has been the setting of the annual TV awards for many years. The event was first held at the venue in 2010.

Last year’s festivities were held across the city at the OVO Arena Wembley after the event was postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. However, the event is back at the O2 for 2023.

TV fans may still be able to bag last-minute tickets for Tuesday’s event. There are limited tickets still up for grabs on both Ticketmaster and the O2 Arena website through its official ticket partner, AXS.

When will doors open the 2023 National Television Awards at London’s O2 Arena?

As stated on the O2 Arena’s website, doors for the 2023 National Television Awards will open at 7pm.

The awards evening, which will honour some of the nation’s most beloved shows, is set to kick off at 8pm. The NTA’s are expected to wrap up at 10.30pm.

Is there a dress code for the National Television Awards 2023?

There is no strict dress code for the 2023 event. However, attendees are encouraged to dress up.

While audiences will no doubt see celebs and TV personalities in their best suits and gowns on the carpet, red-carpet ticket holders, in particular, are also encouraged to dress in theme. As stated on the NTA website, it says the dress code for Five Star Experience, Premium Red Carpet, and Red Carpet ticket holders is "Smart Suit/ Glamourous."

There does not appear to be any specific guidance for how general ticket holders should dress for the evening. However, as noted in a past NTA tweet, they may still want to dress up as they could end up appearing on TV due to the event being broadcast live on ITV.

National Television Awards 2023 travel - when is the last underground service from North Greenwich?

There will be Jubilee services running until after midnight. According to the TFL site, the last train to Stanmore will depart at 12.19am, while services to Stratford will run until 1am.
