Chelsea striker Armando Broja is set to play for Chelsea’s junior team as he build his way back to full fitness after after his ACL surgery.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino might have another striking option with Albanian Armando Broja close to returning to full fitness in the coming week.

He injured his knee last December and has not been involved in game as Chelsea struggled for goals and wins in that period. Through out this year they have only won six league games.

Last season they scored only 28 goals, and this campaign have Raheem Sterling as their top scorer with just two goals soar.after five games.

They signed Christopher Nkunku to help lighten the burden of goals and Nicolas Jackson who has a great pre-season but is now struggling to replicate that form in the Premier League.

Pochettino’s side are scoring all the high marks in all aspectsof their game but the goals and he reminded fans not to forget Armando Broja who he expects to give the team a lift when he returns from his injury.

He told reporters recently: “I think at the same time we are keeping one or two eyes on Armando Broja because I think we can’t forget him,” Pochettino told reporters on Friday.

“We cannot stop him, and to bring some profile of player than can stop his evolution. We really believe in him. We know him very well. He can be a really important striker for Chelsea. We need to be careful.”

Broja played 18 times for Chelsea last season before getting injured, scoring once in a 3-0 against Wolves in October. That followed his successful loan spell at Southampton the previous campaign where he netted nine times in 38 appearances.
