Chelsea player ratings vs Bournemouth as four score 5/10 on frustrating day with only two ‘impressing’

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea continued their difficult start to the season with a draw at the Vitality stadium.

Chelsea could only manage a draw away at Bournemouth in the Premier League despite being the better side for large parts of the game at the Vitality stadium. Raheem Sterling came close to winning it with a free kick but in the end both sides had to settle for a point.

Chelsea came into the game having lost their last three away games in the Premier League dating back to last season. They hadn’t suffered four top-flight away defeats in a row since a run of five from October to December 2000.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was forced to leave out record signing Moises Caicedo due to what reports say is a minor knee issue after international break.

Raheem Sterling who has scored two goals and has two assists this season came into the game alongside Mohamed Salah with nine goals vs Bournemouth, the most anyone has scored against the Cherries.

Lesley Ugochukwu impressed in midfield in place of Mosies Caicedo while Robert Sanchez made three world class saves to ensure Chelsea did not go behind.

Goalscoring still remian a big problem for Chelsea and even though there is enough to suggest Nicolas Jackson will be a big player, he can do with some help at the moment to aid his development and speed up Chelsea’s project. Robert Sanchez was incredible and it was worth his first clean sheet of the season.

Here is how we rated the Chelsea players out there today.
